Welcome Mark Stewart, Business Studies and Economics Teacher

Mark Stewart comes to Bangkok Patana from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where he has been teaching business and economics for the past nine years. Originally from Hertfordshire, UK, Mark began his teaching career in his hometown before moving internationally. As he has really enjoyed his time in Southeast Asia, making the move to Bangkok was positive for him – Mark was drawn to Bangkok Patana’s ethos and on-campus facilities, as well as our diverse staff with countless years of experience between them. Mark’s favourite part of teaching is having fun with the students, as every day presents a different challenge. He enjoys teaching business and economics as these subject areas can be related to the bigger context of global affairs, and he uses many international situations as case studies. Being a Year 7 Tutor is a new experience for Mark, and he is looking forward to learning together with the new Secondary students. Additionally, Mark has been a coordinator for The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award in the past and is excited to get involved with that programme here as well. When he’s not teaching, Mark enjoys football, golf, and taking motorbike trips, particularly in the Himalayas.
