Old Skool Sports Day

Old Skool Sports Day

BarbenHeimer in the House..

On Friday morning, anticipation levels were high as Year 12 and Year 13 were pitted against each other during the annual Old-Skool Sports Day. The Senior Delegates had planned a fun morning of events, including the sack race, the egg and chopstick race, keepie-uppies, basketball, popcorn toss, tug-of-war and the ever-popular Dodgeball. With plenty of pink Barbie and Ken costumes on show, as well as more than a few suited Oppenheimer’s, Year 12 got off to a fantastic start, with victories in several of the early events, but the Year 13’s pulled back plenty of points with a couple of impressive performances in the tug-of-war. Moving indoors, it all came down to the Dodgeball! After some brave performances and plenty of impressive throwing and catching from both Year Groups, Year 13’s extra year of Dodgeball experience began to tell and Year 12 were eventually picked off one by one!

It was a great morning, enjoyed by all. Many thanks to the senior Delegates for the organisation. It was great practice for House Athletics next week! 😊
