Senior Leadership Update 17th February 2022

Notes for travel during half term break, update on vaccines for children, Pink Day…

Dear Parents,

Your children have done very well this term, adapting to learning and socialising in school under COVID protocols and immersing themselves fully into all that Bangkok Patana has to offer. They deserve a restful half term break!

We understand that some families will travel within Thailand during the half term break; a reminder there are still high numbers of Covid-19 cases within Thailand. Our 3Ws have been successful in preventing community spread, please continue to follow them while on holiday.

Students aged 12-18 and those 5-11 year olds with underlying conditions, who registered through school, have already successfully received vaccines at MedPark Hospital. After half term, we will contact the remaining pre-registered families with their appointment details.

Over the past two weeks, our school campus has been very busy and the buzz is certainly back. This week Key Stage 2 have been engaged in an incredible variety of ‘in school’ residential activities, which have delighted the students! Our Year 13 IB Drama students showcased their solo performances to great acclaim. House spirit was on display last week with Secondary students battling during the annual House Quiz. Out of the classroom, we had very successful SEASAC competitions, with our students proudly representing Bangkok Patana.

Tomorrow we are raising awareness and showing support for breast cancer with PINK Day in Secondary School. Our student CanCure CAT (Community Action Team) is leading this and they have been active all week – so do remind your Secondary children to wear pink tomorrow!

We are excited to welcome 16 new students when we return to school after half term. We’re ecstatic that even with the pandemic, we have record new student numbers in Term 2.

Term 3 invoices were sent out this week, if you did not receive yours, please email accounts@patana.ac.th.

In order that your child can get into school in a timely manner on Monday, a reminder to test this weekend and submit your child’s ATK results before Sunday 27th February at 5.00 pm.

We wish all of you a happy and safe half term break!

Best wishes, The Senior Leadership Team
