Students Call for Action on Climate Change

Year 5 and 6 students joined in the worldwide call for action on climate change.

Earth Strike: “We deserve a safe future. And we demand a safe future,” said Greta Thunberg.

Inspired by 16 year old climate activist Greta Thunberg the organisation “Fridays for Future” and the worldwide Global Climate Strike on 20th September that saw over four million participants in 170 countries worldwide; the largest climate strikes in history, some students in Year 5 and 6 decided to dedicate part of the day to join other young climate activists on 27th September to learn and do something about climate change.

After the Climate Action Summit organised at the UN in New York on 23rd September, young climate activists mobilised again on 27th September  to demand world leaders to Act Now.

Bangkok Patana students wrote powerful messages on placards in different languages and joined the world in calling for action against climate change. Students and teachers joined this fourth Global Strike within school. Only with urgent #climateaction can we make our planet more peaceful and safe for everyone.
