Swimming Again!

Swimming Again!

After a long hiatus, our youngest students are back in the pool…

We were very pleased to be able to welcome our youngest learners back to Swimming for their curriculum lessons for the second part of Term 1. It was fantastic to see the Foundation Stage children in the water again and settling back so well into poolside routines; splashing and showering, singing songs, and playing with water toys; whilst focusing on key skills including floating, kicking and propelling through the water.

Since returning from February half term, our Nursery students have followed suit and have started their first swim sessions! Swim coaches Khun Fernie and Khun Fern have been spending lots of time getting to know the students and playing with them in the lead up to swim sessions. They are very pleased with the transition over to the Learner Pool during their first two lessons. It is reassuring to see how many of our Nursery children have got such strong water confidence already, despite starting our programme later than expected due to the ongoing pandemic.

FS2 swimmers have also a reason to celebrate, as after careful assessment from our swim team, they have now made the transition from the Learner pool to the 25m Pool! It is great to watch as they apply their confidence and develop skills and techniques in the bigger pool areas. It is always rewarding to see how much progress our swimmers are making, and we are extremely fortunate to have such outstanding facilities and an experienced team of instructors here at Bangkok Patana.
