Licha plans to attend UC San Diego to study Engineering.

Sirada (Licha) Tatiyaratana, University of California at San Diego

Congratulations to Sirada (Licha) Tatiyaratana on her offers from University College London (UCL), University of British Columbia (UBC), University of California Davis, University of California San Diego, University of Exeter, University of Manchester, University of Warwick, University of Washington, University of Wisconsin Madison and Pennsylvania State University. Licha plans to attend the University of California at San Diego to study Mechanical Engineering.

“I am hoping to attend the University of California, San Diego, for Mechanical Engineering with a specialisation in renewable energy. I chose UC San Diego because of the location, climate, and flexibility in changing courses. UC San Diego also offers a variety of engineering majors that I am interested in exploring.”

“I chose to apply to these particular schools based on the course and engineering opportunities (mainly internship and research opportunities). I applied to Materials Science and Engineering, Environmental Engineering and Engineering with Architectural Design during the application process, which narrowed me down to quite a few options.”

“I am planning to study Engineering but am still unsure of which type specifically. The idea of applying my knowledge to problem-solving and generating creative solutions is what drew me to Engineering. This field suits my interest the most at the moment as it is a mix of my favourite subjects (Maths and Science).”

“Some of my extracurricular activities in and out of school include piano, khim, violin, volunteering in CAT/CAS clubs, such as Amnesty, WFP, Thongbai Daycare centre and volunteering outside of school by helping temples and villages in rural areas manage their waste appropriately.”
