Year 5’s Learning about Water Health

Digging deeper..

Beginning of Term 3, Year 5 travelled to the nearby Wat Bangna Nok Temple to engage in observations of the Chao Phraya River, as part of their new unit of learning on ‘water’. Two classes attended each day, led by the organisation Traidos Three Generation. The purpose of the trip was for students to investigate the water health of the Chao Phraya; discuss how different land use contributes to pollution and how we can limit pollution to make water cleaner and safer; and, to consider how large populations put a strain on limited water resources.
