Year 11 GCSE Trial Art Exams

Creative development in preparation for exams…

Year 11 worked creatively throughout two days off timetable ahead of the half term holidays as part of their GCSE Trial Art Exams. Students are required to complete 10 hours of practical work, under specified and controlled conditions. This practical work provides students with important preparation time for the final practical exam, which will take place in April.

Leading up to their trial exam days, Year 11 students have been responding to a range of themes within their lessons in order to develop their own original ideas. During the two days of trial exams, students produced a range of developmental pieces and some final pieces. Their media varied from painting and drawing to 3D, photography and graphic design. All of the work produced throughout the trial exams will form a vital aspect of the students’ final coursework portfolios.
