Year 6 Students Win in Language Competition

Congratulations on your win, Year 6 Asia Learning Challenge competitors!

Six students in Year 6 recently joined the language category of the Asia Learning Challenge 2022, organised by Education Perfect. In total, there were more than 1,400 students competing from 20 schools throughout Asia. Students were challenged with over 700,000 questions from various subjects such as Languages, English, Mathematics and Science.

Bangkok Patana students answered questions on a range of topics, including greetings, introductions, feelings, colours, numbers, dates, weather, school life, pets, family, food, sports, hobbies and daily activities in their selected MFL (Modern Foreign Language). These students have been studying their selected chosen languages since Year 3, covering all key language learning skills: listening, reading, writing and speaking.

It was delightful to see our Year 6 MFL students engaging in this exciting event for the first time! Congratulations to the team, and to the two students who earned a Credit Award and Silver Award based on the number of points accumulated. They answered an amazing 800-1,200 language questions throughout the duration of the Asia Learning Challenge. Bangkok Patana won 1st place overall in Thailand, 2nd place overall in the category of 1-50 students competing, and 4th in the Spanish Language category! Well done!
