Year 8 Go 3D

Year 8 Go 3D

Year 8 are learning how to draw in 3D

Year 8 students are using 3D isometric crating to produce accurate 3D drawings. First, they start by drawing shapes in 2D and then project the shapes into isometric crates. Drawings are mapped into the isometric crates with construction lines. This ensures the drawings are presented at the correct angle of 30 degrees. Students then draw simple shapes, that become more complex. They finish by rendering their drawings with colour, taking account of light falling on an object and shadows that make their drawings look 3D.
